Right to repair advocate rocking a Thinkpad
I can’t understand for the life of me why the X9 would abandon the keyboard. It is easily the main feature of thinkpads (aside from the trackpoint). Very sad they decided to cut on that one feature, even if they were going for a MacBook clone, the keyboard is something that Lenovo just does much bet

Framework 13 Pro - LPCAMM2/LPDDR5X-7500 pricing
As others stated, Lenovo is pulling that with LPCAMM module. Would be good to have an official statement from Framework because this will affect the performance versus what we've been seeing in X7/X9 benchmarks so far.

Ultralight laptop under 1 kg: Lenovo officially launches ThinkPad X13 Gen 7
I’m wondering… is there a Thinkpad model with a respectable battery size (70W+) that is Intel Lunar/Panther Lake and has a 2.8k OLED, besides the x9 15”? It seems that Lenovo is giving priority to the niche models while leaving the mainline laptops behind…

3+ months delay for T14 Gen 7 with Intel X7
My thinkpad x9 (358h) is being delayed too. Lenovo have to suggest upper or low option available (extra pay or discount)

Worth it?
I bought a ThinkPad x9 aura edition fully specced. Had to return it due to a noisy hinge. Then bought the Asus Zenbook s14 oled. Beautiful laptop. Have taken 3 years premium warranty which covers accidents as well.

Don't buy the X9-15
My X9-, 14 is basically new but had already motherboard replacement (usb C issues) and shortly after this power button connection issue.. used premium service but now 3rd issue (non working fingerprint sensor) was enough: Lenovo could not repair due too missing parts and offered me another older mod

Framework claims Dell is trying to derail Framework's marketing by sending influencers Dell XPS laptops
I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that Framework "took the lead" here and the iFixit collaboration has resulted in a far more modular machine, when the 8 year old T480 and all other Thinkpads before that already had all of that, they just needed more disassembling. Most Thinkpads hav

Don't buy the X9-15
Damn. So if you are not going to accept the replacement, which model will you go for? I think the X9 is a new product formula so even for me I won’t buy the first gen of something like that. Better to wait for the product line to be at least a year old before knowing it’s good or not. Anyways, Lenov

Available panther lake laptops?
As I just posted, Panther Lake laptops (Intel Ultra, series 3) with the 5 level seem to be flooding the market with many variances. There are far fewer but some significant laptops with the 7, X7, 9, and X9 chips. The best overall and pricing I see so far currently is an LG Gram 2026 $1300 on sale a

Lenovo T14 Gen 7 vs Framework Pro 13
Based on the current Lenovo prices, I'm not so sure about "probably cheaper".. Or maybe it depends on where you live, but some quick comparison for the Swedish market. ThinkPad X1 Carbon with the same specs as a FW 13 Pro costs almost TWICE as much.ThinkPad X9 with same specs costs about 30% more. T
