Is anyone else having to hold off laptop purchases?
Not really. So they definitely more expensive but so what? Business needs to continue. If we can’t afford to pay a bit more for nice laptops, we have bigger things to worry about. I have standardized on a specific family of models like the Lenovo X1 and X9 series and our spec is a minimum of 1TB SSD

Microsoft takes on MacBook Neo with new 'value advantage report,' claims Windows laptops offer double the RAM for less money and up to 56% longer battery life
There are absolutely Windows laptops that can compete with Apple's lineup, they are pretty expensive though. E.g. Dell's new XPS or Lenovo's X9 15p are easily in the top charts next to Apple's appropriate competition. That's because Intel's latest two generations have finally delivered but in terms

Powerhouse flagship laptop with 32 GB RAM as standard: Lenovo ThinkPad X9-15p Gen 1 review
Lenovo hasn't removed the trackpoint in every other thinkpad, and has no plans to change that. The X9 is specifically designed to target a modern laptop buyer that isn't stuck in the past. The X1 exists for the rest of us.

Leaks for new claw
Very expensive but I expected worse. Lenovo e.g. went from 1889€ to 3.4k€ for their X9 15p, Samsung also raised the price massively on their lineup 1600€ is expensive but it's 600€ more than what the Claw 8 AI+ was. I expected like 2k€+

New Surface Prices No Longer Competitive
I hear you, and I love my old (soon to be retired) Surface Pro, but almost $4K for a 32GB/1TB 368H is absolutely ridiculous. And I felt the same way when Asus recently revealed the price for their hotly anticipated ExpertBook Ultra - $3600 for a 32GB/1TB 358H Panther Lake. I was ready to buy either

Right to repair advocate rocking a Thinkpad
I can’t understand for the life of me why the X9 would abandon the keyboard. It is easily the main feature of thinkpads (aside from the trackpoint). Very sad they decided to cut on that one feature, even if they were going for a MacBook clone, the keyboard is something that Lenovo just does much bet

Behold the Tower of Think
I really don't dig glossy screens, so the P14s wins on that front for having a 120Hz OLED AND a matte finish, but they all have different uses and purposes. The P14s is my "company-issued" daily driver, and it's a GREAT little machine. I've never managed to get it to slow down once no matter how muc

Framework 13 Pro - LPCAMM2/LPDDR5X-7500 pricing
As others stated, Lenovo is pulling that with LPCAMM module. Would be good to have an official statement from Framework because this will affect the performance versus what we've been seeing in X7/X9 benchmarks so far.
