Thanks for the answer :) I am using the thunderbolt 3 workstation dock gen 2. The dock itself is working properly since it does not give any issue with my X390. I already checked the screen refresh and it was set to be 60hz all the time, in fact the screen going off and on was not related to unplugg

No, not in 2025. Avoid it at any cost. Save your own time. Take any ThinkPad with resolution 1920x1200 (it is called "FHD+" sometimes), at least, and with 32GB RAM, at least. SSD is not so important, if it is 2280 (check it in advance), because it can be upgraded to PM9A1a or to previous generation
