I daily a X390 Yoga and i can't stand to write on those thin things. Lenovo stop using real good comfortable keyboards when they start producing only slim models. Can't even compare to the keyboard of a T460 or X260, for example.

Trash. Absolute trash. Especially for an active life style. A yoga style makes sense. I can't do the detachables that has no weight in the keyboard. Try using it on your lap. So you need a little flip out thing to use it on your desk. But a lap or anything, forget it. Putting everything in a tablet

I have several ThinkPads (old and modern) several of which I use daily based on the use case. Of course you're right, the performance between thinkpads from 2019 and 2012 is uncomparable. But if you know what HW you have and realise its limits, and you know what OS to use, those machine are very com

Yeah, with the collection I've grown, I could have bought a few new ThinkPads instead of the big stack of used ThinkPads. But, it becomes a hobby in itself; before you know it, you'll have duplicate models so you can salvage parts when something breaks. Indeed, the P50 is a fantastic machine. Mine t

You might want to check out the X13 Gen 1 (Intel) or even the X390. I’ve been a fan of the X-series for years (started with an old X250, later upgraded to an X260), but I ran into some issues with certain newer models that are worth keeping in mind: X13 Gen 2 (AMD) - Had to return mine because of re

tl;dr: 16 or more GB RAM model of X13 (13.3 inch) or T14s (14 inch) gen1 AMD would be the closest one that meet your criteria. Also are there any other Thinkpads similar to the x1, maybe ones that are a little cheaper X13 (Intel/ AMD) or T14s (Intel/ AMD) series were made of either aluminium or magn

Thanks for the answer :) I am using the thunderbolt 3 workstation dock gen 2. The dock itself is working properly since it does not give any issue with my X390. I already checked the screen refresh and it was set to be 60hz all the time, in fact the screen going off and on was not related to unplugg

Not nursing, but I'm a convertible ultrabook person. I had a full blown computer during my first year trades program, it was a beast of a machine. I do prefer a proper keyboard for typing notes, but there were times where digitizer for technical drawings would had been nice. Moving to second year -
