Lenovo 👍

Lenovo is probably gnashing their teeth having made the ThinkPad X220/X230 which is still usable and works very well to this day, instead of breaking in 3 years to encourage people to buy a new laptop much sooner than they would need it

Switching from Mac to Linux, but my wife wants to stick with Apple

I got off on an Apple rant there, and forgot to say that as someone who came primarily from the Apple laptop ecosystem, I find ThinkPads the only satisfying PC laptop experience. The quality is similar to Apple, they have fabulous keyboards, and Lenovo isn't trying to copy Apple's design aesthetics

ThinkPad X220 in 2025 - Just finished all my upgrades to this delightful hunk of metal.

I miss the x220 with every press of the button. That's why I got a refurb SK-8855 when they popped up a few years ago.

My new X220, love it so much!

I love the keyboard on the x220, the last one. Ooh Lenovo what have you done! Seriously I hope you don't lift your laptops that way all the time. Soon it'll have issues.

X220t vs X230t vs S230u

Yeah, honestly I've learnt to look at comparable options from other brands in addition to the ThinkPad series, that way you'll get the best of all worlds! Afterall, those Elitebooks are HP's own take at what a business class laptop is and it is equally built like a tank. In this case though, it's no

What’s the longest-lasting piece of tech you own?

I still use my 14 year old Lenovo X220 Tablet (convertible laptop/tablet). I upgraded the hard drive to an SSD 10 years ago, increased the memory a while ago, and I've had an extended battery and a battery dock since I got it. Still goes 3.5 hours on battery. I even installed a modified version of W

Lifelong ThinkPad fan - my new X13 Gen 6 became unusable after repeated repairs, and Lenovo can’t tell me when it will be fixed. Any advice?

Hi. Just landed on your post, and I understand your frustration. I've been a similar user for over a decade with the legendary x220 Thinkpad. As a Lenovo fan, I might sadly admit that even this company has not been immune from losing its quality in the world market of competition for cutting costs d

I accidentally discovered that ChromeOS is based on Gentoo.

Is there a Thinkpad/ Lenovo that is entirely made of aluminum?Love Thinkpads, have a lot of them, specially old ones [t410/ t420/ t430/ x220] their keyboards are amazing, Linux support too, but the plastic get flimsy.
