This happened with my X13 Gen 2. Both the screen case itself was busted and the hinge had broken in half. I bought a new hinge and the screw holes that were broken off I put back together with metal glue. It was a major pain in the ass, but it's doable.

I currently use an x13 gen 2 with 8gb ram. I dream of having an x13 gen 6 w/ 1tb and 32gb, I can afford it yes, but its just costs too much I think.
