Yeah, when I had X280, I installed from X1 Carbon Gen 6, I think around 40 EUR upgrade, but so much better!

Why don’t you look into the X1 Carbon Gen 6. I got one just yesterday, and it’s fantastic.

Beginner question about hardware for OpenBSD
My advice: Grab a $150-$200 Thinkpad X1 Carbon gen 6 or newer, throw KDE-Plasma on it and see for yourself why we love it.

Thinkpad recommendation
You can get a X1 Carbon Gen 6 for around/under $200 easy on ebay. Still a nice little machine. I have a Gen 6 running CachyOS as a loaner.

Like others said, I don’t really understand why you would spend 1774AUD on a refurbished latest spec if you can get a equally adequate machine from 2 generations earlier for literally a quarter of the price. hey, i also have a gen 6 x1 carbon and am thinking about upgrading the motherboard to a new one, since the ram is soldered. i also have 8 gb ram, that has been faulty since i got the laptop but i was too stupid to send it in when i still had the warranty. i don't really want to buy a new laptop righ
