The first Snapdragon X2 Elite (and Plus!) laptops from Lenovo leak
CRD stands for Compute Reference Device. It's the vibrant red laptops Qualcomm uses at events, they are internal development machines yeah. It's my guess that the CRDs might run Linux better than any consumer laptop because if you look at the patches Qualcomm posts they nearly always mention the CRD

State of Debian on Snapdragon X Elite?
Debian 13 works great if you are willing to take some manual steps to intstall it. I followed a workflow similar to: Boot into Ubuntu Concept for Snapdragon. manually partition your disk. Install base Debian using debootstrap: https://wiki.debian.org/Debootstrap reboot & configure wifi with nmcl set

SOS! Pick one: T14s Gen 6 - Snapdragon Elite vs. Intel Ultra 5 vs. Intel Ultra 7
Go for the Snapdragon. I've got the T14s Gen 6 model and battery life is phenomenal even with the electron-guzzling 2.8k OLED screen. 15 hours is doable on my config whereas the IPS LCD model gets over 20 hours on most battery benchmarks. Performance is close to MacBook Pro M3 levels. If you want Ma

T14s gen 6: AMD or Intel?
It works on my T14s Snapdragon, LOL. I get something like 3% battery drain overnight in sleep mode. On AMD and Intel, YMMV. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-empire-strikes-back-with-21-hrs-of-battery-life-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-6-laptop-review.1008078.0.html This is the only review out there th

Which new ThinkPad for a software developer?
Maybe a T14s if you want very light weight, good performance and crazy long battery life. I've got a T14s Snapdragon X with 64 GB RAM, it handles Linux under WSL fine and it's good for the little bit of hobbyist C# that I do. If your .Net stuff can run cross-platform on x86 and ARM, try looking at a

Would Trackpoint II Keyboard Software work with Windows on ARM?
I am also experiencing this on ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon. The keyboard works fine after installing the software, but no way to change the settings because the UI won't open.

Parallels on Macbook Pro M4 as Windows Laptop Alternative
To be honest I have rarely found myself booting to MacOS on my old 2015 MBP. Frankly, you should get a Windows laptop. There are some decent business-class Windows laptops. Some also are business-class laptops based on the Snapdragon X Elite ARM SoC such as the... ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon (14”

X1 Carbon Gen 13 vs T14s Gen 6 (Intel)
Battery life? Go for Snapdragon. Performance? Go for AMD. It's faster than the Intel version and you don't have to worry about x86 compatibility. Personally, I wouldn't go for the Intel T14s when you can get the Snapdragon or AMD T14s with 32 GB RAM for a lot less. The Snapdragon is also available w

For long runtimes on battery you should check macbook air or new laptops with intel's lunar lake chips https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-empire-strikes-back-with-21-hrs-of-battery-life-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-6-laptop-review.1008078.0.html something like this, or arm variants with snapdragon (how
