Framework 13 or ThinkPad?
Before finalizing my choice for the framework 13, I had both the framework 13 AMD with a 2.8K screen and the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 (AMD) with an OLED screen in front of me. I ran a live Linux USB on the ThinkPad and ultimately decided on the framework 13. I sent the ThinkPad back. The plastic and track

Apple's $599 MacBook Neo Shocks PC Industry Leaders
Macs have been a good/great value at the base model and/or with minimal upgrades ever since Apple Silicon was introduced. That is especially true once all models (until the Neo) got 16GB RAM standard, and even more true now that all other manufacturers have seen dramatic price increases. The value p

Apple made External Monitors worse, then sold us retina displays
Somewhat tangentially, I am shocked that low res displays have lasted in the Windows world for so long. It’s inexcusable to me that certain Pro laptops with premium price points essentially come with FHD res screens which are at least a decade past their use by date. Just as bad as the resolution is

Why are used AMD units more expensive?
they are better machines That is not so. For example, AMD models tend to have fewer/worse screen options than Intel (only Lenovo knows why) and AMD models Wifi tends to be bad (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Other-Linux-Discussions/QCNFA765-Linux-ath11k-wifi-crippled-high-latency-packet-loss-frequent-

Hjælp til valg af studie bærbar
Min egen er fra refurbed.dk , men kom egentlig fra refurb.dk (refurbed.dk på fakturaen, men refurb.dk var afsenderen). Den her, f.eks. : https://www.refurbed.dk/en-dk/p/lenovo-thinkpad-t14s-g2-5650u/468287/ Sidder lige og forsøger at se, om jeg kan finde en Gen 3 tæt på 4K, vender tilbage. 😄 edit to

Initial Thinkpad T14 gen 7 Intel CPU options?
The 358H and also the interesting 338H were available in EU stores for a few days, but not anymore. The OLED display and blue variant haven't been available in the EU at all, but Lenovo still puts up a big banner + buy botton w/ the blue T14 on their website. You can configure the T14s with the blue

The T14s keyboard kind of sucks
Im similar, im not a millimeter warrior so the actual travel distance is kinda of irrelevant so long as it feels good to type on. The T14 gen 6 was great in this regard, though the MBP i had was just fine. Would have loved to keep the T14s if lenovo wasnt stuck putting plastic trackpads and 60hz scr

Hello, ive wanted to buy this laptop off ebay and its an L14 gen 1, it has an i7 10th gen and good storage ect, for abt 350 dollars. Is it a good deal?
It varies by country, but I'd say it's overpriced for a 6 year old Intel L14. L14 G1 Intel, RAM is upgrade-able to 64GB, and supports two internal drives, but Intel 10th Gen chipsets are far weaker than AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 chipsets of the same year. Models to look for ThinkPad T14 G1/G2, E14 G3,

L14 AMD (Ryzen 5 4650U) vs T14 Intel (i7, 32GB RAM) for Linux dev?
Even with RAM and storage, $510 is expensive for a T14 G1, both T14, and L14 G1 are 6 years old. If the T14 still appealed, I'd want to know the age and health of the 1TB NVMe, as it could also be 6 years old, and heavily worn. Avoid if either has a 1366x768 TN display. I'd favor spending less on an
