I bought a used ThinkPad P52 for $700 for its workstation specs but you can get T models for much lower. I bought "Certified Refurbished" through Amazon, but Ebay has a similar program so you actually get a return policy if something doesn't work. If you get a model that you see many of them online,

Look instead for an L14 or L15 Gen 1 with an AMD processor, at the very least.
