ThinkPads are generally considered to be goated in regards to Linux support. Mint should be perfectly fine because it's based on Ubuntu, and Canonical works with Lenovo to validate hardware compatibility. Don't know about specifically P50/P53, but they're usually good.

like i said, lenovo p50 doesn’t have this problem and also one of the 3 fans is ok, just 2 of them get like this. i realized that 2 fans are getting air directly through gaps in plastic cover and one fan is getting air through plastic cover and some kind of mesh that’s on plastic cover.
