Any issues running Mint on a Thinkpad P50/P53 (advice please)
ThinkPads are generally considered to be goated in regards to Linux support. Mint should be perfectly fine because it's based on Ubuntu, and Canonical works with Lenovo to validate hardware compatibility. Don't know about specifically P50/P53, but they're usually good.

How usable are the WWAN cards Thinkpads come with?
WWAN works fine on Windows, Linux is still iffy with the FCC locks on newer models, with some older Fibocom cards not working at all. Though for my personal experience, I bought my X1 Nano brand new from Lenovo with the Qualcomm X55 5G Modem, and have been using it on T-Mobile for the past 3 years,

My Lenovo P50
I have a P50 but I can not for the live of my get the wlan drives working, the lenovo update tool says there is nothing missing. But is is still very nice
