While not "bad", the base display on the P1 is adequate but otherwise nothing outstanding. Ironically Lenovo fucked up the drivers on Windows for my Thinkpad p16s Gen 4 and it only sounds good on Linux.

I would say yes, MacBook is the best atm, BUT only if you don't look at the prices. I have a Lenovo P16s gen 3 for 1300€(MacBook pro starts at 2000€, 16" MacBook even at 2400€). And I love my Lenovo, superb product, nice power and nice battery life(I have the 155h processor and get about 8-10 hours

I have a t14s, great machine despite it's slow screen, still great battery life. And a x9 15 which is very macbook like, however the webcam is hit or miss. Runs with Lenovo drivers on Ubuntu lts, but poorly piss quality. If I were you check out the T14s, P14s or if you want something bigger the P16s

I'm running Mint on a Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 4, touchscreen works perfectly. Also have a Wacom tablet and pen which works out of the box. Can't speak to the third item.
