T1G & P1 Gen 8 - What is the best Display option ? (Bad Screens,..)
This panel should be good. It is a non touch panel so no problem of visible extra layer (for instance Lenovo OLED 4k touch panels have an add-on touch layer visible on bright images/videos). The down sides are : only 60hz contrast not so good (normal as it is an IPS) HDR contents will be not really

Took on a Mac only client, so I got a Macbook Air to practice on... now it's my daily driver and I absolutely love it. Convince me I'm missing something, please?
Gotta love it, people using a shitty HP and comparing it to a Mac and then say how they could never go back. Maybe buy a decent Windows laptop in the first place, not one of those cheap ones with a 46 kWH battery, a shitty 300 nits 45% ntsc screen, etc. If you want a macbook pro, yoy can save tons b

T14 vs Legion (or other Lenovo suggestions)
Based on the pricing, I'm guessing you're in Canada? The Lenovo Perkopolis portal (https://www.lenovo.com/ca/vipmembers/perkopolisgold/en/pc/ with password PerksGoldCA26!) currently has a great deal on the ThinkPad P14s and P16s and they're very customizable, starting at roughly $1200. Play around w

Can I upgrade the screen on my P16s Gen 4 AMD
On the P14s, a 1200p display is acceptable, but on a 16-inch laptop, 1200p is simply not enough. At the very least, Lenovo should have offered the P16s with a 1600p display, similar to the one available on the P1 and P16 (IPS, 500 nits, 165 Hz). In the end, I went with the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 (Intel

Reccomend a laptop? (Art)
You didn't mention a price range? The two below are going to be more than capable with wide color gamut you need as an art creator, gaming not so much . Note both are kind costly. https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/thinkpad-p16s-gen-4-16-inch-amd-mobile-workstation/21qr001eus

Looking for a sturdy, yet lightweight workhorse for years to come
You have a pretty comfortable budget for your current use purpose so there are quite a few options. Regarding the processor, while AMD is preferred by many, Intel Ultra 2xx series (Arrow Lake & Lunar Lake) have comparable performance to AMD's AI 3xx series, some are slightly better. The 2026 lineups

Which Thinkpad should I get as an Electrical Engineering major? My budget is 1500
make to sure to sign up for Lenovo pro. you get a discount code. plus access to better sales prices. I bought a p16s gen 4 a few weeks ago for 42% off. that discount also applied to all upgrades purchased with it so the OLED 4K screen was also 42% off. plus the Lenovo pro code saved another $150CAD.

I'm on my second replacement (third overall display) for my p16s gen 4 and and in some brightness levels there's really horrible uniformity issues. Like you mentioned, it's only at some brightness levels, which makes it very confusing lol! Like I'll have the brightness at 50%, looks perfect. I move

Why isn't there much love for the Thinkpad T16? Too big?
I used to swear by larger laptops until I sized way down from a W540 to an X13 Gen 3. I don't miss the number pad, certainly not more than I enjoy my laptop weighing barely over 2 pounds. And, crucially, the functionality between Lenovo's 12/13" and 14-16" laptops is largely the same, with the excep
