It gave me enough time to go make coffee, drink it, and reconsider my life choices. 😅 Definitely not the 'optimized' experience I was hoping for. This is my spec. My 4months old ThinkPad E14, Gen7.
All recent Lenovo have pretty shitty build quality to be honest.... My P14s Gen 6 feels way worse than all my older models....

Warning: My ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 from PCOnline US arrived with replaced RAM and SSD
That makes sense. I think that might be what happened with my laptop as well. Lenovo’s website lists Samsung RAM and SK hynix or Kioxia SSDs for the P14s Gen 6, but my laptop came with Lexar RAM and SSD instead. It makes me wonder whether the original components were replaced before the laptop was s

We got almost the same device (mine is p14s gen 6), so I wonder how do you plan to change panel, I have never done such thing, and I wonder would it be easy and how do I get good quality panel (on the lenovo's website 100% srgb 500nits cost ~190$, which I think is too much for now)

P14s Gen 6 - first use feels disappointing
However, when I got my P14s last week, boy I got disappointed. I traded off larger screen for better portability (apart from >60 Hz ofc) - but it ended up weighing 1.7 kgs, for a 14.5'' model. This kind of data is in PSREF: you may be deceived but that's on you for not checking the specs. powerful t

P14s G6 AMD w/Ryzen 9 HX: Notebookcheck review
It was going to be my next (sixth) thinkpad, but the coil whine made me rule it out. P14s Gen 6 AMD coil whine noise First Impressions of the ThinkPad P14s G6 AMD

T24 Vs P14s AMD
P14s is tuned for performance with a higher, 32w pl2 vs t14 28w. Fan will be louder, system hotter and shorter battery life than T14. 470HX is basically a clone of 370HX so this review will give you a good insight. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Most-powerful-AMD-14-inch-ThinkPad-with-Ryzen-AI-9-HX-L

USB-C to Lenovo rectangle adapters
My old T25 had both charging ports .... the USB-C one and the Lenovo connector. 98% of my time using that laptop, I've used the Lenovo connector ... I've since upgraded to a P14s Gen 6 (intel) which uses only USB-C and my ports are already loose from plugging and unplugging the cable ... the machine

Linux Kernel 7.0
For me I noticed random freezes of applications and generally a choppy performance. Launching apps is noticeably slower. Especially Firefox and creating new tabs / loading pages constantly froze the browser for 10-30s. So far not the best experience (tested for ~11 days on a Lenovo P14s Gen 6 AMD).
