Not saying that its the same thing (it probably isn't), but that's exactly what my P14S G5A was doing before/while it fried itself last week: https://imgur.com/a/fried-p14s-gen5-amd-nKWIIdb The manual says its just memory training

You are not ment to swap just the keyboard on P14s Gen5 Intel unfortunately, they are rivetted to the C cover(topcase). While yes with time and pain it's probably doable but I personally would just get the whole assembly. Seems to be around 150$ directly from Lenovo US. See if they sell parts in you

Yeah, I look at the complete package as well, but have much different priorities. In fact battery life is my #2 priority (after a decent screen) up UNTIL it passes 8 hours. Then it becomes dead last. Value though is quite high. Weight I don't really prioritize, since I can't feel the difference in w

I'm a bit of an edge case myself (I don't need huge CPU performance, no need for graphics, but do need lots of ram), but I prefer my E14 Gen6 AMD (7735U) over my P14s Gen5 AMD (8840HS).

I have the P14s Gen5 AMD w/ 8840HS and OLED. I would not classify it as decent battery life. I wouldn't classifty it as moderately decent battery life. I would classify it as utterly disgusting battery life (~4 hours w/ 40% brightness and moderate workload). If I put the CPU to MAX powersave, thus m

I have owned 3 laptops with OLED's (ThinkPad P14s Gen4 AMD, ThinkPad P14s Gen5 AMD, EliteBook X G1A), and still have 2 (I returned the P14s G4 the day after receiving it I hated the OLED so badly). I would definitely say if text clarity is one of your top priorities, run screaming away from a TouchP

Not being able to tolerate a +10 keypad, and having owned a P14s Gen4 AMD w/ OLED (returned for an otherwise identical build LCD) & P14s Gen5 AMD w/ OLED, no way would I ever consider the P14s Gen6 AMD. Too expensive to not get the high resolution display, but battery is simply too small for any CPU

Yes, Lunar Lake in thin and light are great, and are fantastic on battery. Sadly, this comes at the cost of relatively huge amounts of overall performance for the price due to the complexity of the Lunar Lake design. I'm a big fan of Arrow Lake H though. While not AMAZING battery life, with the larg

P14S Gen5 AMD .... Wireless card drops out randomly. The AMD models with Qualcom cards are known buggy since forever, for example https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Other-Linux-Discussions/QCNFA765-Linux-ath11k-wifi-crippled-high-latency-packet-loss-frequent-disassociations-T14s-AMD/m-p/5252399 Along with

Hey, wanted to ask if XMG laptops can be used for everyday use without making noise? I am deciding between a thinkpad P14s gen5 and the XMG EVO 14. For the same specs, the thinkpad is 700€ more expensive so the XMG would be better. But I don't want a gaming laptop that will make loud noise if I am u
