Why are Lenovo ThinkPads so highly praised?

There was a really good post about this a couple weeks ago, that I fully recommend, I agree with every single word of it and my only single criticism is that the author didn't take a chance to add that what is true of ThinkPads is also true of every other corporate-aimed type of ocmputer. The Myth o

I got tempted

T495s is not known for overheating, but CPU Power Management, enabled by default, can be overly aggressive, throttling the chipset, restricting its full capability. In T495s bios, go to Config, Power, and disable CPU Power Management, reboot, and test. Also check, laptop's ventilation slots, side an

Thinking About Getting an E14 Gen 3

Varies by country, but reasonable for a 5 yr E14 G3, but you must verify the fitted display. Just as a heads up, based on some things you are now saying: ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 (Intel) has hal

ThinkPads are no longer as appealing as they used to be

I own an L14 Gen 3… As an average consumer, the price point of a brand new, enterprise ThinkPad is not worth the money when modern MacBooks blow them out of the water IMO. However, used or refurbished ThinkPads are a steal; that’s where the value’s at. For example, I got my unit with the Ryzen 5 Pro

Is the T14s at 449eur good??

Essentially, yes. L14 G2 AMD review, here. The trade off with the L14 is, its lower cost build materials create a bigger heavier unit, than its equivalent spec T14. In the size comparison section of that review, remove all but the L14 and T14 to compare their size and weight. Both use 1920x1080 16:9
