The analogy in this case would be more like you got diagnosed with brain cancer 6 months ago but you waited until today to start living your life like there is no tomorrow, when your illness has progressed so far you’re no longer able to do that. You don’t have to buy RAM and SSD upgrades through Le

There's no E14 with dGPU and certainly not with a RTX2000 Ada (workstation GPU). Look at the Intel PSREF and AMD PSREF. In this sub, we'll never recommend an Ideapad because those are consumer, way lower quality line, with cheaper materials. Having said that, if you intend to run VMs, get the one wi

ThinkPads aren't really for gaming. The cheapest new ThinkPad on Lenovo's website is the E14 Gen 7 with a Core 5 210H, but it only has 8GB of RAM for over $800. I wouldn't recommend buying a new ThinkPad just because the prices are so high when they are initially released.

Lenovo just keeps moving things around, not always the ones that actually need to be moved For example they could move stuff around and allow regular 2242 Nvme (not in WWAN) slot for SSD. Especially now when LPCAMM RAM in T14/P14s G7 takes less space than traditional pair of SODIMM. There has to be

E14 G7 is the more modular, with dual internal NVMe drive support, and upgrade-able WiFi cards, but its metal topped plastic chassis, isn't as rugged as the T14, and its displays are poorer, especially the entry level 45% NTSC. T14, metal sub-frame with a reinforced composite chassis, and stronger h

Oh yeah the price hikes are insane. I bought my Thinkpad e14 gen 7 for INR 68k (Indian Rupees) (managed to get a 10k discount) in late-Jan. Last month the price of the same device jumped to 97k INR which is insane. I would say that the price hikes are inordinately steep even by current market standa

Materials used (aluminum lid, plastic chassis), the internal structure, the keyboard is not easy replaceable etc. Originally all ThinkPads were (and still ARE) designed by the engineering team in Japan (hence the original bento-box style and a lot of things in original IBM ThinkPad came from Japan c

It's not the E14 that has improved, more like how hard the T14 has degraded in rigidity and reliability in general. Lenovo is speedrunning the murder of ThinkPads. At this point, it would simply be much more economical to buy a ThinkBook, especially with how the ThinkBook 14+ 2026 has a 99.9Wh batte
