What I dont understand is how come ally x or msi claw not going up in price but lenovo handhelds is. Is there anything special about the legion handhelds? I have a msi claw 8 ai and it can run everything on par and sometimes better than legion go 2 for almost half the price.

Depends what you’re looking to get out of a handheld. Steam Deck is a much simpler experience and much more of a true “handheld”. It runs indies super well with no tinkering. Battery life is great. However its specs are aging and there’s a learning curve when it comes to leveraging SteamOS for mods

Happy to give you kudos if you can show us all how to install the latest drivers direct from AMD onto either legion go. However you can't can you. I suspect you are on about the drivers direct from Lenovo which everyone knows how to install. There isn't a single video or post showing how to do this

I’d save a bit more and look at the Xbox Ally X. The Go S is great, but only when it was on sale for $600. The screen is a nice size and the performance isn’t too far behind (still fine). The no in Lenovo stands for no timely updates for their handhelds, including the $2000 brick called legion go 2. Hope the steam OS official roll out in June isn't delayed. At least valve will be more timely with updates instead of depending on Lenovo for a miracle.

I would chose ally x as original legion go is famous for very poor cooling system. You will need to regularly open it and clean the fan, it gathers dust. Friends of mine who have it, clean it every month as standard maintenance. Lenovo fixed fixed it in go s version. Look for picks on legion subredd
