Laptop
Lenovo has pretty good compatibility with Linux. The power modes, battery conservation, screen brightness control all work well under Linux. I use a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.

What are you playing on these days?
I prefer laptops cause I'm lazy and like to play while cuddled up in a blankie on the couch, WITH an adult beverage. So. I got a Legion 5i, RTX5060 recently and am loving it. The OLED screen is nice and it's had zero performance issues.

What laptop to get as an artist?
Well asus are problematic trash so good to avoid them It really comes down to whether you want to play games or not. If you want to play more demanding modern titles and want a dedicated GPU, look for a legion 5i. They're not particularly heavy and have a nice OLED screen, will work fine for the art
