Legion 5i

My Legion 5 is reaching 100 degree btw and lenovo is saying its normal after calling them many times they are finally coming tomorrow to checkits most likely dried thermal paste

Lenovo Legion 5i at Costco for like $1,500. It can handle anything GIS or gaming wise. My kid is an engineering student and I bought it for her. She has ArcGIS Pro on it and that laptop laughs at it.

Lenovo has pretty good compatibility with Linux. The power modes, battery conservation, screen brightness control all work well under Linux. I use a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.

must be a combination of your laptop hardware and available driver consider yourself lucky 🧧😃 for me at least is underwhelming to say ..(Legion 5i) (but a new open source driver surfaced lately and will try when I have time for experiments)

I prefer laptops cause I'm lazy and like to play while cuddled up in a blankie on the couch, WITH an adult beverage. So. I got a Legion 5i, RTX5060 recently and am loving it. The OLED screen is nice and it's had zero performance issues.

You don’t need to spend that much bro, I’m doing engineering next year as well and I spent <£1500 on a legion 5i ultra 9 32gb ram 5060, which should be plenty enough for that.
