€ 850 for Lenovo IdeaPad slim 5 with decent build quality, 2 usb C charging + data ports, 2 USB a ports, recent CPU, 32gb ram and 1tb ssd. Depends on the laptop you buy.

IdeaPad laptops with metal chassis have an amazing build quality for the price. Can't compare with other laptops in the price range, but I had two IdeaPads (one of them being IdeaPad Slim 5) and I had absolutely no issues with the build quality, while I always dreaded the hinge failure on other plas

Laptop suggestion needed!
Not much that competes with MotoBook at that price point, it's a good buy. Another thing would be to go to Lenovo.com and search for models like IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen 10, it has a bunch of add on offers and I think there might be a sale atm. You'll need to research a bit but there are good deals usuall

ThinkPad E series vs IdeaPad vs thinkbook (these are the most I can afford).
IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen 10 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS with 3Y ADP, costs significantly less, better vfm. While agree that thinkpads are good, and E series in new gen aren't as bad other people say, i believe they're not vfm proposition.

Which one should I buy?
I'd suggest against going for HP. Have had some really bad experiences with their laptops over the years. Maybe a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 would be a good choice. Ryzen AI 5, 16GB of RAM, and whatnot. Just make sure to go for the AI 5 340 and not the 330.

IdeaPad Slim 5x w/ Snapdragon X2 Plus 6-core Now Available for $850
This laptop seems to offer really good value competing against the IdeaPad Slim 5a (16") and IdeaPad 5i (16"). Not sure why they gave the Snapdragon model a 15.3" screen instead of a 16" one, though it is a significantly better screen: 15.3" 100% sRGB 1200p 120Hz IPS default or a 100% DCI-P3 1440p 1
