Is Framework laptops worth the premium? Developer looking for a new laptop
Just to give you another option: I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad E14 with Intel 255h CPU. This cpu might be better than the Ryzen and has a better gpu on top. Max RAM (not soldered) is 64gb. The Screen is my highlight so far. It has about 6-10 hours of battery depending on the workload. I never had any i

Beklager det kedelige spørgsmål
Jeg har købt Lenovo thinkpads i flere omgange i samme situation, det har været godt. De koster 6-7000 fra ny, mindre brugt. Direkte fra Lenovo.dk er der ofte gode tilbud. Best Thinkpad for Linux (quiet, light, efficient)
My wife has a MBA M3 - lovely machine, I do have a bit of hardware envy :-) That said, I really like my ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 (intel i5-1335u). Plenty fast for my needs, feels solid, and although it has a fan it seldom comes on and when it does it's quiet. I went through a phase of buying fanless only,

E14 Gen 6 (AMD) vs E16 Gen 2 (AMD) vs E16 Gen 3 (Intel)
Hi, first of all, thank you for your comment. I noticed the difference in battery life I mentioned in notebookcheck's reviews of the two models: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Highly-upgradeable-and-affordable-Lenovo-ThinkPad-E14-Gen-6-AMD-laptop-review.953041.0.html https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len

bought a new laptop
It is good enough for web browsing. I have an old Lenovo with Celeron processor and 720p screen. It isn’t great but it is enough for web browsing. Some people just don’t want to buy used items. My $250 thinkpad e14 is much much better but it came dirty with signs of use. OP’s laptop is new, it is ha

Laptop specs
I recently switched to a Thinkpad E14 from a bulky Macbook and have really benefited from the portability. I have not run into anything that requires a dedicated graphics card thus in my MECE studies, but I know some higher level courses may benefit from it. Modern integrated graphics are fine for t

T14 Gen 6 vs E14 Gen 7 – is the T-series worth the extra cost?
I bought the E14 Gen 3 (released around 2022) after my trusty T480 finally gave out. I opted for the aluminum version, which has both an aluminum top and bottom. However, in terms of build quality, I still find the T480 to be far superior. For example, when I removed the bottom case to upgrade the S

Is there any laptop under $800 that meets my degree hardware/software reqs (in post body)
Is this your school's basic requirement or are you in a program with specialized requirements e.g. engineering? Generally speaking in higher ed your first year or two you can get by with literally anything. The only thing you will be doing on your personal computer is email, MS Office, and accessing
