Genuine curiosity: What's the appeal of a Leica Monochrome body?
My only Leica is a Q2 Monochrom. I love it. The options it gives me as a daily carry far outweighs the loss of color. Speed, definition and lowlight performance were my main motivations. The pictures are so much sharper than any other 40mp sensor could be. I can take handheld shots in the middle of

Honest review of the Leica SL3 and SL-lenses
I own and SL3, 24-70 leica lens, and 50mm apo lens. I'm not an influencer. The reason I use the SL3 is because it's a Leica and I like what I get out of Leica from a user experience and end result stand point. The build quality, the interface, the settings, the ease of use, it gets out of the way an

M with a Visoflex vs M EV1 (opinions sought)
Can only give you my opinion. I have a M11 and had the M-EV1 but returned it. To me it breaks down to a few points: If you only have 1 camera, and don’t get on with the rangefinder experience the M-EV1 makes sense. If you have a rangefinder camera, but find that more often than not you’re reaching f

Go with a Leica SL3 or X2D2?
The X2D2 has really good ibis compared to previous gens thanks to DJI's involvement with the brand. As for iq, people have mentioned that the SL line does give the "medium format look" but imo if you NEED the medium format look then get a medium format camera. However, if you are being paid for your

SL2S vs SL3 for M adaption
The 3 and the m11 will render nearly identically, it’s the same sensor, along with the Q3 series. This sensor is also found in Sony’s 60 megapixel offerings. If you like it on your M, you’ll love it on the SL3. I don’t buy into a sensor rendering something “more” or “less” better, it all has to do w

Help me choose
I have the907X 100C, which I bought primarily so I could use the back on my 501 and 503. I also own a Leica SL3, Q3 and an M10 Monochrom. The Q3 is an everyday carry. The SL3 is an amazing shooting experience and one that surprised me when I first got it. Both have colors to drool over. My 907X and

In your experience, what are the most reliable mirrorless cameras your photographers have used on set?
In my experience: Nikon Z8 & Z9 are super solid, followed by Canon R5 & R6. Phase One IQ4 is also super stable. Even the Leica SL2 & SL3 I think are quite stable. The Fujis and Sonys usually work well with updated firmwares, but from time to time they do "strange things" 😃 I'd say from Sony the most

SL3
Apo is definitely worth it, especially for the SL system. But if you already have a Summilux lens, try Leica’s M-to-L adapter first before investing in other high-end lenses. If the Summilux-M is sufficient, just buy a 28–70 zoom lens, which is also excellent. I also moved from the Sony system to th

Does the SL series cameras feel the same?
I have a SL2, I have not owned a M or Q, I do have some film gear, have shot film rangefinders, and I shot GFX prior. In my opinion, part of what makes a Rangefinder like the Leica M great is the restraint it gives you. This means being able to focus in on composition rather than getting lost in the
