SL3

Apo is definitely worth it, especially for the SL system. But if you already have a Summilux lens, try Leica’s M-to-L adapter first before investing in other high-end lenses. If the Summilux-M is sufficient, just buy a 28–70 zoom lens, which is also excellent. I also moved from the Sony system to th

Does the SL series cameras feel the same?

I have a SL2, I have not owned a M or Q, I do have some film gear, have shot film rangefinders, and I shot GFX prior. In my opinion, part of what makes a Rangefinder like the Leica M great is the restraint it gives you. This means being able to focus in on composition rather than getting lost in the

Possibly Unpopular Opinion About Video and Possibly Popular Opinion about IBIS

Leica SL3S is what you want. Yeah the video capabilities are more than what you need but the photo quality is amazing. I use mine to scan my film in multishot mode. So 96 megapixel files. Not to mention the form factor with M lenses is incredible.

Leica SL3-S as main camera?

SL3 is my semi-main in that it’s the one I want to grab unless I need to shoot sports. It’s my favourite camera. Compared to the M though keep in mind it’s going to be much bigger and less discrete. But if you’re looking for Leica experience and interchangeable lenses, with AF - you won’t be disappo

Which Leica camera best complements a Q2 for travel and everyday documentary photography?

I have a Q3 28, an M6, a Canon R5 II, and a Ricoh GR IV Monochrome. They each fill a specific niche for my photography needs. I fully understand your desire to add something else. I’d find the Q3 alone to be too limiting. If I go to a sports event or my daughter’s dance performances, I need the Cano

Q3 43 vs Fuji GFX 100S II

I once was a Fuji shooter, starting with their X cameras for years. Then I moved to GFX with 2 bodies and 6 lenses (also for years). Now I am with Leica. The GFX 50R is still with me, along with the 110mm and the 45mm, but that's because I just still love that particular camera and those 2 lenses. H

Best overall Leica zoom I’ve ever used.

Leica has really stepped up its autofocus with the SL3 line. Not quite to the level of other flagship mirrorless cameras but for working professionals who shoot Leica it’s a meaningful upgrade. However, if you’re not earning money from your gear, the sl2-s is almost at the bottom of its appreciation

Would You Have Liked The Leica M EV1 If It Had An Autofocus Mount?

Well, if they were to support and L series mount and L series lenses they would have all the size necessary to support an auto focus mechanism and in many cases lens stability mechanisms as the body does have that kind of capability. The nice thing about the Q series is the system as a whole combine
