Leica SL2-S New Old Stock - Fair Price?

I love my SL2-S, and it's just as relevant as it was when it was released. As for the choice, I'm sure the Leica-rehab is fine, but you'll never have the same questions about a new one.

I fell into the Leica trap

For your situation I'd sum it up in this way from best to worst scenario:Q2 -> SL2-S -> MThe Q is a wonderful camera which will certainly make you considering an M in future. The SL line is a great middle ground where you can both use expensive anc cheap lenses from various manufacturers. Don't disre

Q typ 116 or dlux8

if Leica (colors, results, haptics) is what you prefer, would you be willing to compromise on size? Leica SL 601 is still a very relevant camera today. The issue on it possibly on the buttons, not the EVF/screen as mentioned previously. Then, if you are lucky enough, a beater SL2s could be about the

what are your guys opinion on the leica q 116?

Great camera. I had one, added an SL2–S, then traded both on a Q3. The Typ 116 is definitely in “gateway drug” territory. Downside: the 28mm lens is limiting, especially if you’re coming from interchangeable lens cameras. Upside: that 28mm lens is also the finest optic I’ve shot with. It’s astoundin

Vlada | Leica SL2S

Hi, thanks a lot! At the moment I’m using a Leica SL3. About a year ago I upgraded from the SL2-S, but honestly, I think it was a mistake.Yes, the SL3 has a much higher megapixel count, but I mainly use Leica R lenses via an adapter. Since those lenses aren’t really optimized for a 60MP sensor, I ca

Switching from X-T5 to Leica SL2/SL2-S

The dirty little secret is that many Leica shooters have a bag full of Olympus/OM System cameras on the side. Much better system for landscape/hiking/nature photography. I had a SL2-S for a while and I loved it. It was a joy to use; in so many ways it is the Platonic Ideal of a SLR-style mirrorless

Need buying advice for a Leica AF body.

SL2/-S would be a great match to your Q2. You’re familiar with the sensor already. ISO performance is great still IMO. The SL2s can be had for 2.5k USD and really you have your pick of the crop when it comes to lens choice to pair with your Q2! And if you wanted to get into motion, the SL2/S is a so

Considering selling to fund an M240 & SL2-S, Am I insane?

The SL2-S/3s I think is the best band for the buck and most versatile set in the whole Leica world, but the Q43 is such a nice for factor and focal length. Personally I have the SL2-S with the 40mm summicron c

I fell into the Leica trap

A Leica SL2 or SL2-S, depending on if you need resolution or ISO performance, it might not be a traditional Leica but for me it handles very simmilarly to my Q and with the M mount adapter i can use all of my M lenses, the build quality and general expirience is amazing and the reviewers who call it

A q3 43 is the only one like that. The M system will be way different and make you slow down. The Leica SL is a great system to start but a lot bulkier. SL TYP 601 or SL2 (SL2-s) will be a good place to start with low budget.
