Love Leica cameras. Have used film and digital M, SL and Q. Nothing changes about your photography. It doesn't improve it. The biggest dopamine rush is the process of buying it and then telling people you have an M. It's not an upgrade over the X-T3 in any way if I'm being honest. No weather sealing

You have identified the advantages and disadvantages correctly. This ends up being a very personal choice and you have to weigh these tradeoffs for yourself. My personal preference is limiting weight and size which puts you in Q territory. If it has to be an interchangeable lens SL, I’d go with sigm

X2DII or go deeper into M?
The main reason I love shooting with the M system is the small bodies and lenses with amazing IQ.
