Time flies when those are playing 🔥

Building this studio has been a real passion project. I spent a lot of time treating the room acoustically to get the sound just right, and it’s been totally worth it. Listening to music through these monitors and subwoofer is pure pleasure !!! Why people use hi- fi instead of monitors? Edit: The mo

Advice on studio monitors for guitar and bass?

I upgraded my presonus 3.5s recently too. I would play through a 2x12 Marshall JVM cab but that wasnt ideal for mixing and I had to get my power amp going too. Got some KRK Rokit 7s and I havent used my Marshall since. They sound incredible so here's a vote for those. In my bigger studio we use Yama

Disappointed by KRK Rokit RP5 G5 monitor in comparison to old ADAM AUDIO F5

Hey buddy! Sorry I'm late, but this post is actually great :) Trough the all history of existence KRK Rokit line sound monitors, the professionals of sound engineering industry often scolded them for their overly "colored" sound (strong basses and pugnacious tops), which made them not really suitabl

Update: Studio Display returned on 14th day and I’m trying an iMac instead (picked up 2 x HomePod too)

What studio monitors are you referring to? Lots of options: PreSonus Eris E5 BT JBL Professional 305P MkII Edifier MR4 Edifier R1280T Yamaha HS5 KRK RP5 Rokit 5 G4 Polk XT20 Kef Q150 ..and so many more... YMMV depending on your taste, but add a $200-250 subwoofer with any of these pairs, and your Ho

Studio monitor recommendations for beginner studio

They are soooo good really. Unfortunately my room has so many problems that I can't make good mixing decisions with them so I had to unplug them. But really they sound sooo good . Had krk rokit and Yamaha hs before.

I wanna buy a speaker for DJ stuff, any recommendations?

Depends on the room. The FLX4 has unbalanced RCA outputs, so keep that in mind. You will need a relatively short set of cables unless you want to hear feedback. Try to position the speakers no more then about 10 feet from the FLX to keep the cable length short. My first set of speakers for my “beat

Are the KRK Classic 5" monitors any good?

You'd be better off spending some extra coin on the Gen 4 or 5 series or getting an Avantone mixcube. The Classics were amazing besides a weird muddy resonance in their low mids, the G4 and up addresses that and have a pretty flat response. Anything in the sub $400 budget range (Yamaha hs, JBL lsr,

Yamaha HS8 with 8 years of use or a newer used KRK Rokit 7? I’m unsure which one to choose.

If you care about accuracy for mixing, go Yamaha HS8. They’re flatter and translate better. If you just want something more “fun” with extra low end and newer features, go KRK Rokit 7. 8 years isn’t a big deal if the HS8s weren’t abused. I’d personally pick HS8 for mixing.

This was found inside a photo frame - not antique- made of plastic. It smells like incense sort of and it it's sandy in texture and it's been taped into the inside crevices. Any idea what it is?

Sure, that's why my home studio and WIP home theatre are devoid of Bose. However, this comment is mainly about casual listening and convenience, because most people don't know, care about, or would reallyyyy benefit from pro audio. I, for one, am never taking anything in the pro audio category out o

Speakers for mini party at home

Nah, it’s not a problem since we’re not talking about a full sized party. You can easily turn up monitor speakers to a reasonable volume, especially active ones which have a built in dsp with a limiter (you will blow your HiFi speakers way before you blow these). I owned KRK Rokit RP7 G4 and now Kal
