Kobo v kindle

I’ve been using Kindles for 14 years, but because of the size, I decided to switch from the PW (11th gen) to the Kobo Clara BW (size of the Basic, functions of the PW), BUT for the first time in my life, I’ve run into a problem: this is already my THIRD device with the same defectI don’t know what’s

Pocket size e-reader

Women pockets tend to be smaller. I personally wouldn't put my kindle paperwhite in my backpocket. Even the kindle basic and the kobo clara bw are a bit too big to put in pockets, again as a women. If op is looking for ereaders at the 6 inch range, I would also add the boox go 6 in here and the boox

Kindle support ending- looking for a new e reader

The build is worse than kindle for sure and touch screen felt inferior to kindle. Like when screen gets wet, didn't have issue of pages just getting turned by themselves without stopping in my paper white or scribe but that was major trouble with kobo clara bw. And the back isn't as solid. The plast

E-reader up to 150

I have both a Kindle Paperwhite and recently tried a Kobo Clara BW and a Libra Color. Both Kobos had dead pixels all over the display and their frontlight uniformity (especially the Clara BW) was atrocious. For the Clara, the bottom half of the screen was way brighter than the top half, because the

planning to buy my first e-reader

ngl that comment about Kobo in PH is kinda right. Kobo has no official presence there so warranty is a pain and you can't buy books directly from the device without a VPN. Kindle Paperwhite works fine in PH - you can still use Libby by sending books to your Kindle email. the screen is basically the

Best ereaders for under 60 dollars?

I would recommend to buy used from one of the established brands (PocketBook, Kobo, Kindle). Or raise your bar and buy new. Eink is by design expensive (e.g. you won't even get a replacement screen for the Kobo Clara BW for 60$), and your first device should give you a hassle free experience. I myse

Kindle PW 12th gen vs Clara BW

Kindle PW 12th gen vs Clara BW

still good case won't cover the front. Kobos are great but the plastic especially on clara is too cheap for my taste

I own a Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen and bought a Kobo Clara BW (review)

I stated the prices for a reason. The Kobo Clara Bw is $50 cheaper than the PW but the Libra is $50 more expensive. The Kobo Clara BW is $50 more than the Kindle Basic. Either way you get the same price difference. The Kobo Clara is made of cheaper materials than the Kindle PW (and the Kindle Basic)

Worth the buy 2026?

If the Colorsoft bothered you, the Libra Colour is not for you! The screen-door-effect is so much worse on the Libra, on the Colorsoft there is only a slight texture in the background, the Libra looks shimmery, grainy and more like "printed on jeans fabric". I'm currently trying the Clara Colour in
