How come old devices and products (80s-00s) are so efficient and long lasting unlike products nowadays?
They do less. Let's use klipsch speakers as an example. I have a pair of klipsch kg 5.5 speakers from the 90s. They're amazing speakers. They are also just speakers. Amps, dacs, streamers, wifi, and Bluetooth are all in separate devices. The new Klipsch number series - the fives, the sevens, and the

KALI IN8 V2 good for music listening and production later on? My last option
Yeah definitely mate, those Klipsch did look good and still eager to know how they sound. You still prefer the sound of the IN8'S to them? If so, that's promising :) How would you describe the sound of that line up? I may have been able to get away with a pair of the fives and a sub but i dont think

Argon Forte A5 MKII Review
I haven't tried Klipsch The Fives so can't really compare but from reputation I believe they have more treble, so might sound harsh after a few hours listening.

My first setup! How did i do?
I didnt try the br04s, but compared mine (the BR03s) to klipsche “the fives”, but I liked the sound of the triangle better. Found them a more comfortable listening experience, and the highs were more enjoyable for me. They did lack a bit on the low end, but thats why the subwoofer is there.

Other than the cartridge, what makes a turntable “hi-fi”? What makes one more hi fi than another (not including crosleys and all in ones etc)
Yea honestly I have no interest in upgrading my TT’s I love them and wouldn’t really want anything else. Love how robust and reliable and simple the 12’s are. I was just curious about what and how tt’s can get better than the ones I have! Thinking about switching over to amp/passive speakers soon. A

I am a beginner and try to use my dads THORENS TD 160 MKII turntable
The Thorens TD 160 MKII and the Thorens TD 160 Super are two different-but-related turntables. If you just have one turntable there, it'll be one or the other. First things first, check you have a complete working turntable. It should have a tonearm, with a cartridge, and the stylus fitted to that c

Is there really a big difference between passive and active speakers?
There can be made a good argument for either.Active speakers can be very convenient for bluetooth speakers, soundbars or smaller stereo setups (Klipsch the fives, Sevens for instance). If you are thinking of serious HiFi or Home theater: Personally I would always go for passive speakers. I want the
