New System Advice
A little outside the box, but right now Amazon has renewd Klipsch The Sevens active speakers on sale for $799.https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Heritage-Inspired-Powered-Speakers/dp/B0DVBMN3D4/?th=1 They're very well-reviewed and offer 100 watts per channel, a built in DAC, a sub output, and phono, dig

Help a Boomer out š
Lots of good suggestions already. I'll throw a pair of Klipsch The Sevens active (self-powered) speakers into the mix. They stream and have an internal DAC which means they function like your current Sonos speaker. The internal amps deliver 100 watts to each speaker. They've gotten lots of great rev

First Stereo/speaker Setup, help!
I definitely understand and was anticipating Eversolo Play recommendations. Personally I don't mind plugging my phone or laptop in to get lossless. I've seen mixed reviews on the Eversolo regarding its standby mode, Airplay connectivity (which my fiancƩe would almost certainly still use over the nat

Small living room: LS50 Wireless II vs LSX II w/sub
That's all super helpful and makes a lot of sense. I want to stay with active speakers for simplicity. When I say loud, I don't mean eardrum shattering. :) I think I've been dragged down a bit of an audiophile rabbit hole when I started researching speakers. I know this is a KEF subreddit, but I won

So, one thing I see is that you don't seem to understand what warm sound means. I've never heard the Sevens, but they won't sound "warm" in any way. Warm means a bit more mid/upper bass, maybe a bit more lower midrange, and less on the high end. The Sevens are going to be on the bright side - this i

Thanks for all your advices! I somebody recommended me the project debut evo! I might go with that one! As for now I dont have any amp and the marantz I was looking at is gone on ebay unfortunately! I got recommended the klipsch the seven speakers as it has a phono amp integrated! I was leaning towa

Rank my speakers.
Well that's probably an inside joke about Hafler that I may have to go a bit further down the rabbit hole to get but it's good to see a couple of pieces endorsed. I'm going to stick with the Klipsch passive speakers as well. They seem very similar to my Sevens and I like those. And maybe the DCM Tim

Are Klipsch The Nines any more reliable than The Sevens? I want to get the Sevens but Iām just coming across way too many people whoāve had unit failures with them. Iām considering the Nines since they seem to not have all the bad reviews but I also canāt see how the reliability would differ much be

Hello all - Am looking to put together a desktop system that I will use in my office while working. My criteria has been that the components will fit on my desktop so I can adjust easily, and the speakers will be placed near to my sitting position, like headphones. So far I am looking at a few syste

Need some advice for speakers and amp
Iām not generally a fan of the Klipsch brand. They tend to have elevated treble. (Even the āso-calledā flat mode on the The Fives, The Sevens, The Nines, hasnāt apparently been devoid of that, reportedly.) Also, obviously you greatly increase the things that can break. And it limits upgradability. I
