I used Kinesis Freestyle Edge, UHK60v2, Dygma Defy and Dygma Raise 2 with my Mac. Kinesis was definitely the worst of them. It's an OK keyboard overall, it just doesn't offer a lot of benefits compared to a non-split keyboard except for, well, being a split keyboard. And its software is horrendous.

Silakka seems like a nice choice, and as someone else mentioned can be found so cheap on AliExpress that unless you are looking forward to the diy project it might make more sense to buy a presoldered one on Ali. I'd say a starting point might be a Kinesis freestyle edge RGB. Due to recovering from wrist surgery a few years back we ended getting one for my wife. $200 range and does seem to match your checklist. Given that price point, you should probably also take a look at the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB. I don't think it's aluminum, but is the one we ended up getting my wife back when she was recovering from a broken wrist. I bought a Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB split keyboard for 199 and a $20 tent for the bottom to lift it. It's got regular keys but I found that moving the split halves to a better shoulder position really helped my carpal tunnel. Maybe that is a better option for you. This was the cheapest answer I co
