If your goal is to get keyboard that provides some legit ergonomic value skip Alice layout boards and other one-piece keyboards like mWave, etc... just get a full split. Here are a couple row-staggered split options: NocFree Lite/&, Keychron Q11, Keeb.io's Sinc/Quefrency, Epomaker Split65/Split70, G

Oh god don't get me started on this rabbit hole 😂 I went through the exact same frustration last year and ended up spending way too much time researching split boards. The real problem is that most manufacturers treat "ergonomic" and "full-size with numpad" like they're mutually exclusive concepts,

I was in a similar spot a couple years ago and I got a Kinesis freestyle edge, which is somewhat similar to the Q11 in terms of layout and number of keys. It solved my minor pain permanently. There was a small learning curve (1-2 weeks) but it didn’t slow me down too much at the time. No learning ho

I used Kinesis Freestyle Edge, UHK60v2, Dygma Defy and Dygma Raise 2 with my Mac. Kinesis was definitely the worst of them. It's an OK keyboard overall, it just doesn't offer a lot of benefits compared to a non-split keyboard except for, well, being a split keyboard. And its software is horrendous.

Maybe they have updated the palm rests for the Freestyle Edge Plus recently and I have used an older model, but I actually find them really great, I'm not sure what you mean by how they force your wrists into an uncomfortable location, I wonder if your desk might be too high or maybe your chair too

i've been down this ISO split rabbit hole. besides the Q11, check the Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB - it comes in ISO and has a detachable 20 inch cable. for a budget option the Matias Ergo Pro works but uses alps style switches. you can also replace the cable on your R Go Tools with a longer TRRS cabl

G502 is great but reliability is not one of its strong suits. It’s also reasonably cheap to replace, though. Re: keyboards: get a quality mechanical keyboard (not Logi; I like my Kinesis Freestyle Edge, but there are many good choices) and it will last you years.

roenoe had mentioned several options. Some more similar row staggered split options are Keeb.io’s Sinc, Quefrency, and Quefrency LM (which is comming soon) GMK70 (typically sold without switches and keycaps on Amazon/AliExpress) Kinesis Freestyle Edge + (although it looks like you will have to email

The Kinesys Freestyle Edge also has function keys on the left, although strictly speaking they're "macro" keys that you can remap. Those XT-style function keys mean that you can access them with a simple slide of your left hand, not some giant upward reach. (Having function keys along the top as wel
