got a cheap Chinese 60% because the Corsair one for my desktop decided to suddenly start glitching and die; not the worst in the world and has Bluetooth, but godamn the fn combinations are fucking bonkers; I think the most annoying part is that it has a dedicated Home key but for End I have to conto

v5 max vs v6 max vs anything else?
So far as I know all the recent (say, past 2 years) Q and V gasket mounted boards may exhibit the same problems. Keychron has a 96% "K" board that is tray-mounted so doesn't risk board/plate flex ejecting any switches. Other options: Monsgeek M2 v5 VIA ($100) Redragon K742 * ($56 with coupon) Nuphy

The Q5 is gasket mounted so typing on it is a little more 'bouncy' and the sound is a bit more muted than the V5 if

Keyboard for everything
I have the mx mechanical and all I can say about it is that I really enjoy it. It works well with its dongle (which I also have plugged into a docking station as it’s for my work set up), its backlighting is nice with shine through key caps, and I like typing on it with the brown switches. It was my

help looking for a keyboard recommendation.
i ran into the same hunt for a quiet board last year. the gmmk pro is heavy, so i get why you passed. for magnetic switches, the NuPhy Air60 HE is wireless and has that smooth magnetic feel, but it's 60%. if you want full size, the Keychron V5 Max with banana or brown switches is a solid bet - quiet
