I have the older, regular mechanical Q6 Max and just got the new HE spin on it. You can tell Keychron has improved the design as they're effectively the same KB chassis but the HE variant has much better insulation design and the control slider switches don't rattle. And a side benefit as there's no

Are the switches replaceable on the mechanical keyboard? If so, some cheap 'silent' switches are the way to go, or o-rings if you don't mind the mushy feeling? Have you considered a low profile keyboard? they tend to be a lot quieter out of the box. The Apple Magic keyboards are low profile, come in

This is good to know, and helpful information!I actually originally have the Keychron Q6 Max, which I love. But I kinda want the quieter, more creamy/thocky sound. What would be good switches/caps to swap on this Keychron board?

If you want portability and speed get the V6 max with red switches; If you want more feedback/positive weight to each keystroke and have a deeper sound out of the box go with a Q6Max and their Banana switches. I own a Q13 (red switch) and a V10 Max (banana switches with very similar alice setup). I

Hey all, So I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first (and hopefully last) custom keyboard for a while. Ever since (a couple months now) Ive been on a quest to find my endgame creamy/bassy switches that I would stick with. I have currently landed on the Huano Sakuras - very hyped and very hig

I jumped from a Razer black widow which I’ve been using since 2017 to Keychron Q6 Max last week, so my experience is v.limited but the look, feel, weight and sound of this board is so good. I game and code on it so I’m using it ~8-10 hours a day, not noticed any issues so far

The metal cased boards look feel nice and I am pretty happy with the sound of the Q6 Max. There is definitely some case ping to be worked out on some keys. I'm sure it can be fixed. However the V3 I received was pretty much flawless out of the box. There's also the price. For the cost of a high end

I've used pretty much every line of board out of Keychron and recently received a V3 Ultra . Honestly, out of all Keychron boards I have, including the Q6 Max and Q3 Ultra, the V sounds the best. V series are great boards.
