My favorite keyboard to type on is a meme

It's a good keyboard; I have a Q5 MAX, and it's one of my favorites. It still has the original Jupiter Banana switches, and I replaced the keycaps with Metropolis R2. It looks great. I find the knob useful, but I could manage without it. At least it's more discreet than the one on the OnePlus 81 Pro

Leopold Fc900 is really hard to beat for a pre built board. Not sure on the conversion rate at the moment, but it should be near your budget/worth expanding to obtain. That said, you are going to lose RGB, and the further you get into the hobby the quicker you notice LEDs becoming less and less prev

I can’t find a mechanical keyboard that fits my needs!

Maybe not so? Perhaps I have been lucky through the q1 pro, q5 max, q1 he, lemo l1, lemo he, but I have not had a failure from keychron. I have seen several posts about avoiding the q6, which I have no experience. I have moved on from Keychron to other boards, but KC was a good gateway drug.
