If you’re buying an expensive keyboard don’t get a “gaming” keyboard. Corsair, Logitech, razor, etc. All these brands just mass produce and profit of their name. I have a Keychron Q1 V2 which is cheaper than yours and it has a CNC machined aluminum case and much nicer keycaps. Probably better switch

It's fine, but theyre just okay boards. For $50 id say you got it damn good at that price, but there's just better boards out there. I mean, for $150 you can get top of the line and thats what that keyboard goes for off sale, so why get a B tier decent keyboard when you can get top tier at that pric

I would suggest to avoid those gaming brand on your list, they charge a premium price on their brand name and the gaming feature, while the typing experience is just average or below. Since you are looking for a mechanical keeb but not Hall effect, I assume you value typing experience more than extr

Depends on what you value I guess. My €130 Nuphy Halo 2 IO feels and sounds much better than my €225 Keychron Q1 Max... and the Nuphy doesn't have rattling stabs.

If you’re gonna buy «off the shelf», get yourself a Keychron. At least you’ll get something good. I got the Q1 Max myself, though they have cheaper options as well.

It is an ok keyboard, but the price makes it a bad buy. To be fair one of these is what got me started on my custom mechanical keyboard journey. But I quickly learned the K65 isn't all that great. Yeah, I agree. I have a few Keychron boards, but came very close to just ignoring the brand completely due to the convoluted mess that is their different keyboard lines. That's me right now! I use a Google Pixel Tablet synched with a Keychron Q1 Max with jupiter brown switches. The keyboard is heavy as hell, but it's so luxurious I find its worth it to lug around to wherever I'm setting my office up for the day.

I still like their mice, but I will never buy another KB from them. I spent a little more on a Keychron Q1 HE and have never been happier.
