Keychron is the same price for me, at least, the k5 max version which is the only version that will do it for me, as I use wireless USB. It has no see-thru keys, which defeats the purpose of having rgb (or any light for that matter). Keychron does sell abs see thru keycaps, but that almost doubles t

Wanna know the biggest irony? I could buy the K5 Max + ABS shine-thru. PBT opaque is a NO GO for me. I have only TWO basic requirements for ANY kayboard. N1: it needs to be wireless and N2: it needs to have backlit keys that are visible in the dark. I've been using wireless backlit keyboards since t

Ultimately I think it's far too expensive for what it is, and there's much better value options out there these days. It does have a somewhat premium look, but yes, it's a bit "shiny" for me (and that's as it is brand new). The bigger annoyance for me was having to use the icue software. It's just c

Are serious? How is it above standards? Soldered switches, price higher than market standard, no via/qmk and far as the reviews should, totally sub par sound. Really name one thing that makes this keyboard stand out against a cheap keychron like a Keychron K5Max

I used to always have one keyboard for every machine. My general idea was that you should only need one keyboard that can manage everything. However, I've recently moved to a dual-monitor setup, with an OLED for media and an IPS for productivity. Switching between monitors always required me to move

Honest question here: is mechanical mostly just for show/style/nostalgia? I've recently (attempted) to replace my MX Keys for the MX Mechanical (sorry, I'm off-budget for a fancy mechanical - I did look at the Keychron K5 Max, but I gave up on it for it lacking see-through keys and replacing all key

Yep, that's right. ANSI isn't a problem for me as I began typing with this layout - as long as the keyboard is configured as "International", it will output all the characters I need. I even prefer that over the local (ABNT) layout, though, to be frank, I have no problem using either. Currently, the

It's not the weight of the keys, I'm pretty ok with the weight. The problem is the travel. The mechanical - even a low profile mechanical - is still taller than the MX Keys, so it begins with an ergonomic challenge. But, mostly, the keystroke of a mechanical (again, even a low profile) is higher tha

The overwhelmingly vast array of options for keyswitches and the depth of the rabbit hole you can get into finding the perfect actuation profile and sound signature makes this take ridiculous. Really? So find me a mechanical keyboard that is quieter than the MX Keys S or a Magic Keyboard at a reason
