R3 Meta

I don’t think I would call these midrange. These replaced a pair of vintage klipsch La Scalas for me. They are great speakers and they punch above their weight. KEF R-series is what I have right now. My KEF R3 Metas sound incredible. My dream setup would be the Focal Grande Utopia Em Evo’s. But I would literally need my house to be built around them, they are fucking huge lol

The kefs are excellent speakers. I think they play well with untreated rooms bc they’re not quite as wide as the bmr. You know you like them, I’d try to listen to r3 meta if you haven’t yet.

Was using Qobuz but switched to TIDAL because (a) Cheaper and (b) Supports Dolby Atmos (obviously for my Sonos speaker). Also sounds so good through my Hegel H190 powered KEF R3 Metas via Roon.

While the upgrade kits can be controversial, and I can see the benefit for those that love a specific speaker/design and wanting it to be the best, the GR Research speakers are fantastic.
