I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings

Maybe you just don’t like uncolored sound, which is completely reasonable. Kef has a under 0,5 percent return rate on their Uni-Qs (the lead engineer at least claims so). Most speakers are damaged because people expect a Q350 or ls50 meta whixh don’t have a dedicated bass driver to play bass at high

Q4 pricing and whether they're a step up from q350 and q150

The Q1 (successor to Q150) has the 5.25" driver while the Q3 (successor to Q350) has the 6.25" driver. The Q4 has the 5.25" driver and thus is closer to the Q1. That said, the meta series includes a few refinements that were not in the Q350 or Q150 and neither the drivers nor the crossovers are iden

Center Channel for q350s?

The KEF coaxial speakers do very well placed on their sides due to their excellent vertical dispersion. This characteristic is kind of unique to the coaxial design. I agree that the most cost effective solution is another q350, placed on its side if space is an issue. IMHO the q350 is a bit better c

Speakers + Amp + Turntable recommendations for £500-750 budget?

Kef Q350/Q150. SMSL AO300. Audio Technica ATLP120x. This is my setup which fits in that budget. The speakers are especially great at filling your ears with sound, without actually being too loud thanks to the driver tech and clarity

What’s the real difference between a $30,000 home entertainment system and a $150,000 one?

It’s kind of wild that in 2026 I can name several sub‑$1k speakers — JBL Stage A170/A190, ELAC Uni‑Fi 2.0, KEF Q150/Q350 — that have well‑controlled directivity yet people still hand out “treat first reflections” like it’s an acoustic law. You don’t need a lab, just a speaker with good dispersion, a

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings

There is a statement of jack-oclee brown the head of engeneering in Kef which states that they have a less than 0,0x return rate on their Uni Q drivers. The main reason you see these pictures is that people expect full range sound from the LS50 and Q150/350 Series whixh dont have a dedicated bass dr

Center channel & sub suggestions - 5.1 Setup (Q950, Q350)

Those KEF centers are 2.5 way. A lot of folks doing measurements have evidenced issues with comb filtering there. The Q150/Q350 do not suffer this issue, so they work quite well. I'm using an LS50 center with my R3s and love it.
