Indeed...there seems to be some dip in the 700Hz to 1kHz region in the Q3 Meta for the on-axis response too. I guess the Q3 might sound a bit more darker than Q1 in that range. Help me choose a pair of bookshelves
So, despite what the specs imply, the Polk R200s will require twice the power of any of the other listed speakers. The KEF Q3 Metas demand a 4-ohm stable amp, and have less bass than most of the other listed speakers. The Monitor Audio Silver 50 G6 is a great speaker, but is overpriced in my book. T

Eye opening speaker comparisons
You're right. My bad, not the R3 meta but the Q3 Meta I checked. So my experience with the KEF sounding muffled is with the Q3 Meta, not sure how much the KEF R3 difference to the Q3. My main point of criticism to the Q3 was the absence of any good lows, so the songs missed any punch. Guess that R3
