Those shelves are so high up and you’ll be standing basically right underneath them. Whether you have larger speakers against the wall or smaller speakers pulled further out, it seems like you’re decided between two non-ideal options. I know you already mounted the shelves and ran the wiring, but it

New install of KEF Q1 Metas in a humble 2.1 stereo-on-a-shelf

Thanks to you for urging me back to an 80Hz crossover - with u/NTPC4's advice to insert the foam bungs, the null(s) went away and my KEF Q1 Metas are now doing more of what they're best at from 80Hz on up.

KC62’s crossover or external?

I have a more modest setup than what you’re talking about but unless my experience is unusual, I cannot recommend having the KC62 in the signal chain for your mains. I’m using Q1 Metas for a near field desk setup with a MOTU M2 audio interface for the DAC and a 3e audio A7 stereo amplifier. Without

New install of KEF Q1 Metas in a humble 2.1 stereo-on-a-shelf

OK then! I now prefer the fully-bunged KEF Q1 Metas in combo with the SVS SB-1000 Pro subwoofer at a crossover of 80Hz (all managed at the WiiM Ultra. The bung-filled KEFs no longer produced the ~110Hz SBIR null against the back-wall and ceiling that I had been wrestling with... WiiM RoomFit didn't

KEF Q1 Meta & WiiM Amp Ultra

Yeah but everyone is constantly talking specifically about the KEF Q150 (and Q1 Meta) that THOSE need a subwoofer. On posts and videos about other '5,25 inch woofer speakers that go to 50hz' u hear way less people say that a subwoofer is needed.

Need advice q1 meta or LSX II LT

I would add a sub instead of going to Q1 meta. Q1 will have more bass than LSX, but not necessarily an upgrade on mids and highs. A KEF Kube 8 or 10 would be a very nice pairing..Or maybe an SVS micro.

KEF Q1 Meta & WiiM Amp Ultra

Smooth response = musical and accurate, plus easier to smoothly blend with your KEF Q1 Metas. Consider this: This is the measured frequency response of the $340 RSL 10e from the Audioholics Review of the same. This is the measured frequency response of the $600 SVS SB-1000 Pro and $850 SVS PB-1000 P

What to choose: premium bookshelf or standard floorspeaker (from Fyne Audio)??

I dont think that you can compare a $2.2k bookshelf speaker (500SP) with a floorstander that costs $1.4k of the same brand, the Fyne Audio F501S should be the same lvl as the 500SP but a floorstander, it almost have the same price at $2.3k. I've been eyeing the Fyne Audio F501E myself but the local
