I like to listen while I cook
Those shelves are so high up and you’ll be standing basically right underneath them. Whether you have larger speakers against the wall or smaller speakers pulled further out, it seems like you’re decided between two non-ideal options. I know you already mounted the shelves and ran the wiring, but it

Bought my first big boy set up
I have the Kef Q1 Meta speakers with a Wiim Amp Pro and can confirm that using your layout turns the entire room into a concert stage. It's perfect for my office but have to admit there are pieces of music that makes me stop working.

The audiophile hobby has a pricing problem, and we need to stop pretending otherwise...
Respectfully, I wish that I had the knowledge to comprehend what the correct replication should be. I can quickly determine what I like so it's all I have to go with. In the 90's I spent way too much money and time on a sound system (Wilson Watt Puppies and Spectral electronics. This was after going

Looking to get angle baffled speaker built.
You can run most 2-way speakers turned 90 degrees- on their side. Especially if you’re tilting them up so you’re right on-axis. Kef q1 meta would be good, the coax driver will be great in any orientation. 12” high x 7-1/8” wide would fit your space (turned on its side)

Are KEFs extra sensitive to placement?
Recent Kef speakers (including the Q1) have adopted an "extended bass shelf", which is just another way of saying that they are tuned to require boundary reinforcement for normal bass levels. Here's an example of what that looks like. Other speakers are designed to be as flat as possible anechoicall

Small speakers for under 400usd for a pair. Probably Polk Es15.
The KEF Q1 Meta has been going on sale for $399 and that would be a fantastic choice IMO. I have also seen the Polk R100 go on sale for $399. Either one of these would be better than the Polk es15 IMO. I think the KEF Q1 meta would be the best choice for that price. They image well but also offer cl

Speakers that produce room filing sound that is enjoyable even off-axis
KEF, MoFi and Tannoy are all brands that produce concentric design speakers with very uniform horizontal and vertical response. ELAC has a few three way speakers that employ a concentric midrange/tweeter design for similar results, and the HSU Research CCB-8 has a concentric two-way design. Kali Aud

Rebuilding phase.
I really like your space, looks so relaxing and warm I’d never leave it! Are speaker upgrades of interest? I have a set of Bose 201 which are direct/reflecting similar to yours. They sound great to me but the stereo imaging wasn’t very clear because of the D/R design. Got a set of KEF Q1 metas and t

Decided on Sonus Faber Electa Amator iii
I spent a solid year researching a system for my office. Sonus Fabers were at the top of my list. KEFs were not on the list but decided to try the Q1 Metas when they went on sale for $399. If I didn't like them I am sure my daughter would. I was blown away with the clarity, detail and the soundstage

Should I keep my B&W 607 S3 or switch to KEF (Q1, Q3, or Concerto)?
I'd go with the KEF Q Concerto Meta's unless you love the B&W house sound. I've heard a few of the KEF QM line & the B&W stuff, I personally find the KEF's to be more accurate and immersive: the coaxial/UniQ on the KEF is really nice. If you're looking for controlled & full bass + a clean sound, the
