Do Hifi Speakers Naturally Lose Micro-Details Compared to Headphones?
Headphones are for listening, speakers are for feeling. I have headphones (tungstens, dms omega, hd600, focal radiance) that are far superior to my speakers (kef ls50 meta with a crossover sub) on a technical level. But speakers just give a different feel to music.

From 18 Years with a 3" Driver to the Ultimate Nearfield Bubble: My Phase 1 Endgame (KEF LS50 Meta + Schiit Ragnarok 2)
I understand how wave guides work, but you can see the measurements for yourself. Off axis slopes down in a balanced way, yes, but you’re still getting much more information to your ears by having the tweeters point at your ears. If it sounds good to you the way they are though then all good. https:

LSX II → LS50 Wireless II upgrade? Better option around $1700 USD / $2400 CAD for music in a 150 sq ft room?
Not convinced of which? I have owned LSXII, LS50, Q Concerto, and WiiM products and think that’s exactly the right combo to consider. The KEF app sucks for real DSP control. WiiM gives you 10-band PEQ and even their own room correction software. If you want to add a sub you can time-align it with Wi

KEF LS50 Meta Vs KEF LS50 Wireless 1
There's a reason it's this price... Take it from many disgruntled kef lsx and ls50 owners that you just don't want to go down this route If you have more space and are looking at wiim ultra look out for R3 reasonably priced second hand speakers instead - edited to say can see someone else recommends

I'm Done (For Real)
yup. I've heard almost all Kef speakers and they sound ok but nothing special for their price. I bought ls50 meta because of Amir review on ASR forum and i also prefer coax speakers because of directivity and flexibility to turn the speakers on the side. Audiophile world is full of snake oils and yo

Looking for speakers for living room
The KEF ls50 meta are pretty close to the Monitor Audio Bronze 2 in audio quality, but originally >3 times as expensive, check: https://youtu.be/_jYJmoHywkE?is=drcmrSHKDDbPPziP You can probably score a set of used Bronze 2's for ~$250(-300) today (if u find a pair on sale).

About to spend $2.5k AUD on first stereo — tell me what I’m getting wrong
If you're looking at 606 money I'd also demo a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 100. I would take either of those over the LS50 Meta even if they were the same money - before I retired I'd have so many Reddit people come in to buy the KEF (not having heard them) and then leave with Bowers or Monitor Aud

Sound of Kef Reference 1 Meta vs Kev Reference 3 Meta
Thank you, this is exactly the type of response I was looking for. My only concern with the KEF Reference 3 is that they will have inferior soundstage/imaging due to lacking the advantages of a more focused driver array (i.e. more of a point source), a smaller (and presumably less resonant) cabinet,

KEF LS50 Meta Vs KEF LS50 Wireless 1
I have heard the LS50 meta. Your best potential sound will come from the W1 but it comes with some reliability issues that are tough to overcome. You need to step up to the R3 to have a chance at getting better sound than the W out of a passive KEF.

Recommendation - KEF Q11 Meta - Wharfedale EVO 5.4 - Bowers & Wilkins 603 S3
Haven't heard the towers you mention in the post, but i do have Marantz M1 paired with B&W 606 S3. While B&W sound is not for everyone these are a mighty little beasts. Still a bit bright to my ears and the mix matters a lot, but cutting treble 1 or 2 notches makes them fantastic. As for M1 i am sur
