I have heard the LS50 meta. Your best potential sound will come from the W1 but it comes with some reliability issues that are tough to overcome. You need to step up to the R3 to have a chance at getting better sound than the W out of a passive KEF.

I have B&W 606 S3 paired with Marantz M1. Amazing setup, sounds wonderful. M1 has lots of power to drive almost anything. EARC, Sub out, Dirac support, Airplay. HEOS is meh, but i never use it.
