Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

I have both. One set of Beolab 8 in my bedroom and one set as rear speakers to my Beovision Theatre in the living room. The Kef LSX II is used as desktop speakers in my office. Like @matteventu wrote above, the Beolab 8 are more similar to LS 50 Wireless II than LSX. The Beolab 8 can play louder and

New Speaker Day

Yes I was relieved it was so simple to dial in. I have the Kube 8. As someone new to hi-fi and living in a more compact space, for me it truly was the perfect solution for someone wanting a “lifestyle” oriented setup while being “audiophile approved”. I think KEF smartly occupies this surprisingly b

My semi budget setup.

KEF and my KEF dealer both recommended zero toe in for my LS50 Wireless II setup. And personal experience agrees with no toe in.

Looking to buy speakers

KEF LSX II are definitely not going to fill a large room. They are SPL limited to near-field listening only. LS50wII would be better options for larger space.

First time spinning this, and it cuts deeper on vinyl

KEF LS50 Wireless II Powered. I’ve only had them a couple months, but they’ve become my go to speaker in the house (usually Sonos before). Full sound space (even though I have them too close together), huge dynamic range, lots of power, easy setup, nice app. I paired mine with a sub (probably going

From q150 to ls50 ii

Slick setup! That’s the LS50 Wireless II? VERY NICE! For highest output you need to connect the interspeaker RJ45 cable. What are you using the optical for? I heard that a Cat 8 cable improves the sound somewhat. (audio voodoo?) So, I wrote to KEF asking about the interspeaker cable. They said it’s

KEF LSX II and KC62 combo

I had that combo for desktop computer speakers. It's excellent for that kind of setup especially when configured properly. For a living room though, I would recommend stepping up to the LS50 Wireless II.

Just Jumping In

Why not skip all the electronics and get LS50 Wireless IIs? They’re probably cheaper and sound better, since the LS50 W IIs have all the electronics built-in and optimized to work together seamlessly. You can stream from anything to them. (I use iPhone, iPad and Mac) Plus they directly support lots

LS50 With Wiim Ultra or LS50 Wireless II

Hi OP here, thank you all for your educated and informative input. I have learned that LS50 Wireless II are clean and simple, less clutter and less complications. However are not upgradable and if technology moves on or you want to upgrade, you are stuck. Whereas if you get an Amp and LS50 passives,
