Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

I have both. One set of Beolab 8 in my bedroom and one set as rear speakers to my Beovision Theatre in the living room. The Kef LSX II is used as desktop speakers in my office. Like @matteventu wrote above, the Beolab 8 are more similar to LS 50 Wireless II than LSX. The Beolab 8 can play louder and

what speakers are actually worth it for everyday listening?

I've been through at least 10 different "audiophile" speaker systems over the decades. The best I've heard is what I have now - KEF LS50 Wireless II. So clean, clear, distinct, even over the spectrum of audio sound. Add a subwoofer, and you'll not want anything more. And they don't cost a fortune, l

New Speaker Day

Yes I was relieved it was so simple to dial in. I have the Kube 8. As someone new to hi-fi and living in a more compact space, for me it truly was the perfect solution for someone wanting a “lifestyle” oriented setup while being “audiophile approved”. I think KEF smartly occupies this surprisingly b

LS50ii wireless update

I have the LS50 W II’s. They are a much higher end design than the Coda. The LS50 W2’s have almost 4 times as much power and the higher end cabinets and drivers of the LS50 Meta. I see the LS50 wireless are now on sale for $1,999.99

MoFi SourcePoint 8—The Hype is Real

I have the KEF LS50 Wireless II, with 1x KEF Kc62 sub (integrated with Dirac Live). Today coincidentally I had the chance of trying the Mofi SP8. Yeah it sounds warmer, less analytical than the KEFs, more like a “real sound”, wider soundstage and more 3D sounding (deeper soundstage especially). Real

Is there any Sound System/TV Soundbar that's Google Home compatible?

Check any products with "Google Cast" (formerly known as "Chromecast built-in"). Avoid those that don't have it, i.e. Sonos, most Samsung, recent Sony Bravia soundbars, etc, even if they claim support for "Google Home". Some examples of soundbars that integrate nicely into a Google Home ecosystem by

As an audiophile, do you prefer Dolby Atmos or FLAC Hi-Res?

How do I listen to DR12 content on my KEF LS50 wireless II’s? They sound amazing using Spotify’s lossless, but I know there’s deeper levels out there.

KEF R11 Meta - Don't Understand the Hype

Same. I got the LS50 Wireless II + sub for the TV -- I don't know, looking at all the glowing reviews, I'm all the more surprised about how meh they sound to me. Have tried them also as Roon endpoints with all kinds of music and what can I say, just not for me.....

Beolab 8s vs KEF LSX II for desk + future living room setup?

Beolab 8 compete with KEF LS50 Wireless II, not with LSX II. Between BL8 and LSX II at technical level, there's no comparison whatsoever, the BL8 are way better - that is, aside from personal preferences in sound signature. Between LS50 Wireless II and Beolab 8, the choice becomes more difficult...
