Completed: Three-Band Speaker Setup
Love the imaging of the LS50 Metas, but can’t afford Blade Metas (for that full-range sound), so over the course of a couple of years gradually built a system that could try to simulate them on a lesser budget. Call it a sort of, “poor man’s Blade Metas,” if you will. Was never interested in the LS6

I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker, here are my 8 key findings
KEF owner for 25+ years and I agree with pretty much all you say. (I've heard lots of models, but not as many as yourself). I bought the LS50's (originals) after liking them in auditions in half a dozen different rooms that I heard them in (over time). That convinced me that they were a good fit for

Kef LS60 new owner - what sub/s to go with
The LS60 go down to ~30 Hz (+-3dB, anechoic), which means it covers most of the range of human hearing, since a room will typically extend the response. What you're missing isn't that, you're missing the ability to go loud enough for your use. Unfortunately for you, the LS60 isn't ideally suited for

KEF LS50W with the new Spotify Connect Lossless update
I asked KEF support team and they outright stated that they will never support lossless on the first generation of LS50W. So disappointing that these speakers become obsolete after just a few years. It makes me seriously reconsider the all in one solution. Very disappointed with KEF support team who

R3 Meta vs Q11 vs Q950
And did you EQ them and room corrected them, properly with miniDSP or some other PEQ DAC or sound processor? I've built system on top of cheap 2xKEF Q1 and 2xKEF Q Concerto Meta with miniDSP for routing frequencies. And after room correction and EQ adjusting using UMIK - it measures better than my K

Kef active speakers advice
Don’t own the LS60 but the app does still suck for initial setup and I assume that’s the same setup for every KEF. Once past the setup you don’t really need to use the app so you should be fine

KEF LSX LT II USB connection - Windows 11 . Sudden volume spike when turned on
Sadly you're right. I've had similar experience with KEF. Their passive speakers are worth it tho. And for the price the LS50 wireless 2 are actually good. Not the LSX nor the LS60 tho - just same performance as LS50 wireless 2.

Sound of Kef Reference 1 Meta vs Kev Reference 3 Meta
If the LS60 had nothing but RCA and balanced analog inputs I might consider them, but I don't want to pay for/buy into KEFs wireless platform and DAC if I don't have to. In their current form the LS60 Wireless only offer a single RCA analog input.

Andrew Robinson Beolab 50 Purchase/Review
I don't like the idea of active speakers with proprietary streaming software. There's too much planned obsolescence built into one speaker. Many people are agonizing over the KEF LS60 streaming software for example. I'm not saying that you should get all separate components. But rather get a decent
