I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker, here are my 8 key findings, longer version

The biggest benefit of active speakers is that it is easier to cross over ghe drivers. However KEFs passive crossovers are so good and they suppress driver break up so well I don’t really see much of a benefit there. In ma mind it’s mainly a added potential failure point. I would never buy a referen

KEF: Horrible after sales service

This sucks to hear. LS60 are my holy grail but I can never trust Kef with all the QC and customer service issues. I wish JBL would make a competent competitor to Kef's powered+streaming speaker lineup.

KEF LS60 First thoughts

Really depends on what you want / what you already have. I tried out the LS60 / LS50 Wireless and then the LS50 Meta. If I didn't already have everything (amp, pre, receiver, etc) I would have absolutely gone with the KEF active speakers. Out of all of them, I really love the LS50 Meta (and the R3 M

Recommendations for my girlfriends new loudspeakers < 1700 Euro

I've discussed this with my girlfriend, even the LSX II. But we came to the conclusion, to invest in something which could last decades instead of being outdated every 5-10 years, due to outdated software, protocols etc. or at least we only have to replace the amp. I may stay with the Wireless serie

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

I'll keep it short as there far better responses in the comments than I can contribute. However, personally I love the sound of my KEF (R3's) speakers and think KEF as a brand are the opposite of snake oil. Audio reviewers are a byzantine maze of grift but KEF overall measure (a loaded term in itsel

Suggestions for speakers for music

KEF is a nice choice. The LS60 absolutely rocks. My only concern is that someday some electronic will stop working at you'll be stuck... I'd recommend instead: KEF R3 Meta EAC Review (2300 CHF) 22 inch Kanto SX22 stands (385 CHF) WiiM Ultra streamer and preamp ASR Review (330 CHF) Audiophonics AP300

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

These speakers are cheap. I had the arros along with 2 pairs of totem mani II’s, model 1’s, a pair of hawks, and these Kef’s are much better than any of these totems, and I like totem. The price of the ls60’s are cheap, they sound like a small version of its bigger brother the blades but the ls60’s

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

Kef is pretty much the only high end speaker company who releases extensive concept white papers with detailed descriptions on the work they carried out for that speaker generation. It is not some marketing bs but scientific work on a high level. They are a very scientifically driven company and as

Are Kef speakers all that good? {LS60}

There are many high end speaker company’s which are highly intransparent about their tech with no existing measurements on their speakers. Kef has a long history of science driven research and really nailed it to display music as it is without any coloration. They are really the opposite of snake oi

Testing two streamers - by-passing the internal DACs

I've had a 25K reference system (ELAC, MAC), a totl vintage system or three and now I have KEF LS60 with two 62 subs. Endgame simplicity. So my gear is revealing enough I'd say. My room is treated a bit too. Smart businessmen are selling you things. That what is really happening here. And you defend
