Speaker Advice

Depends on your budget and size, but Kanto Yu4 or Yu6 are good. You can also get a receiver(with Bluetooth compatibility) and get two powered speakers.

What combo should I get?

Budget, future plans, expectations? Location, local stores? I went into a dealer looking for a low cost upgrade to my turntable, amp, speakers traditional set up. Instead of selling me something he knew was not going to be better he offered to set up my systems and compare it against their pick of t

Most customisable?

The Kanto Yu4 is a great example of a powered speaker that has a built-in phono preamp. If you go with these, you don't need a phono preamp built into your TT.

Newbie setup help

If you go for the powered Kanto Yu4 or Yu6, they have a phono preamp built-in, so you could skip the Fosi. (As long as your TT is positioned close enough to the main speaker to take advantage of the built-in phono, that is.)

best budget speakers with a built in phono preamp?

Passive and separate speaker amp you can later upgrade one part at a time. If you need to go powered then Kanto YU4 or 6 with built in phono preamp are good. Or 4" Kanto YU $199 on sale plus a Fosi X5 Phono or Emotive Phono https://emotiva.com/products/ph-1-phono-stage Or 4" Onkyo on sale with built

r/audiophile Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk Thread

Hi all, I recently picked up an AT-LP120xUSB turntable and Kanto YU4 speakers and am enjoying the setup for the cost, my space limitations, and having listened mostly to ripped MP3s and Spotify these last couple of decades. The speakers were chosen partially to have a Bluetooth option since the majo

suggestions for good record player

Something like the excellent Kanto YU4 and an AT turntable YU4 includes a phono stage pre-amp. The speakers are powered and have various inputs, amplification and nothing further is needed. To add streaming and internet radio you can cast from a mobile phone or tablet or get a Wiim Mini. https://www

I recommend PC speakers

Doubtful. Cheapest speakers I know of that would sound decent and fit your requirements of an optical would be from Kanto. Look at the YU4 or YU6. The ORA gets good reviews for a little less, but have usb in and not optical. YU 4 cost a bit under $500 and can be found on sale for about $360-400 in c

I entended on buying the AT-LP3XBT but found out my parents have an unopened (?) Technics SL-QD3, which one would you recommend?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r6d9Sj9-4gs The powered speakers with built in phono would be the simplest I think. But, I'd primarily do it if minimal components was my primary goal. The kanto YU4 fit the bill For me, nothing beats a working vintage turntable since your money is stretched so much fur
