I think for the money if you’re looking for a replacement in your budget, the Kali Audio IN-8 v2s are your best option. Paper cone, 3 way speaker with really good transient response and a very detailed midrange which a lot of speakers in the budget tier are lacking. I work in an Audio Post facility

So I previously used Kali IN8s which I really love the sound of compared to those in a similar price range and above ie KRKs, Adam audio and focal. Don't have much more to reference them to though. They sound very similar to the Kalis by my ear, which makes sense due to the similarities in design, m

i paid a little more for the Kali in-8's (ive had the hs8's) and the Kali's absolutely blow them out of the water. Keep in mind, these are studio monitors, they are for mixing. They aren't meant to give you the most exciting version of the sound

I don’t know the neumann’s you mentioned, but I have a pair of Adam a7x’s that I really like and do the majority of my mixing on (similar price range), and I recently heard some kali in8’s that I was impressed with. The kalis are only $1k for the pair…

I have IN8’s and mix cubes in my studio. Love both of them. I paired my IN8’s with a Kali sub as well which is a game changer. Fantastic setup for the price. That said, you really need to make sure your room is treated. I built my studio and hooked all of my stuff up to hear what it would sound like

Kali IN series. They are powered studio monitors, but they would do a good job as ht speakers. I have a pair of IN-8 that I use at computer speakers and I have been really happy with them. The nice thing about concentric drivers is the controlled directivity. You can get that without concentric driv

I really like my Kali Audio monitors. Very good value across their lines. For $900, you can get a new pair of IN-5, or for $1000, a pair of IN-8s, which are great three way speakers. You might try those and if you find the bass lacking, add a sub. Or for $600, you could do their LP-8.

I would save up and go Higher. If you want to actually have a bigger difference I would try and save for better monitors. The difference wont be that substantial if you keep in the same grade, let's say. Check out the kali IN8s which punch above their weight. They are about 800 the pair
